Even the best night cream with retinol may cause some irritation or dryness to your skin. This is because pure retinol is a powerful ingredient that instantly begins working to remove dead skin cells and improve your skin’s texture.
Retinol products cause initial dryness, redness, and sensitivity, which is called "retinoic reaction.” This is a known reaction to using medical grade retinol. This is not an allergic reaction, but an intrinsic property of all retinol serums and creams.
Revoderm retinol night cream is specifically designed with a unique epidermal carrier system (encapsulated retinol) to minimize this tendency. If you experience dryness, redness, and sensitivity, please be aware that these tend to improve with time once your skin becomes accustomed to it. You may also choose to add more moisturizer into your skin care routine to restore balance for the time being.
We recommend following the directions below. If you need guidance on use of Retinol email: info@revoderm.ca.
Apply a pea sized amount on the face. Avoid the nose and eye areas. Start using gradually, for example, two to three nights per week. The best retinol lotion should not be used more than once a day, which also helps your product last longer than most other beauty solutions.
Dryness and redness and peeling can occur. If it does, stop using the product for several days. Then, restart Revoderm Retinol by mixing in equal parts with a moisturizer such as Revoderm Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer.
